How to reload a trimmer line on a grass trimmer or brushcutter

There are several different ways to reload a trimmer line on your Husqvarna trimmer, depending on the product model.

A15B trimmer line reload

  1. Take out the battery.
  2. Press the lock on both sides at the same time to take off the lid.
  3. Take out the empty spool.
  4. Put in the new spool loaded with trimmer line.
  5. Rotate the spool so that the trimmer line is aligned with the slots on the trimmer head.
  6. Pull the ends of the line through the slots.
  7. Put the lid back in position on the trimmer head.
  8. Push the side button to elongate the trimmer line to the trimmer guard knife.

R25B trimmer line reload

  1. Take out the battery.
  2. Cut a couple of meters of trimmer line.
  3. Align the arrows on the knob and the housing of the trimmer head as shown in the image.
  4. Pull in the the trimmer line in the hole on the trimmer head until you see it on the other side.
  5. Make sure the ends of the trimmer line are aligned and and are equally long.
  6. Start winding up the trimmer head clock-wise to pull in the trimmer line.
  7. Trimmer line should be as long as the distance to the trimmer guard knife.

Rapid Replace™ trimmer line reload

  1. Align
  2. Feed
  3. Twist

Battery trimmer line reload

  1. Take off the trimmer head by pressing it on the sides.
  2. Estimated cord length depends on the type of trimmer head and thickness of trimmer line.
  3. Hook the line to the trimmer head and firmly wind it up.
  4. Follow arrows for wind cord.
  5. Slip the ends of the trimmer line through the gaps.
  6. Put back the trimmer head.
