How to examine and replace blades on a ride-on mower

Replacing blades on a ride-on mower

WARNING: Incorrect blade type or unbalanced blades can cause objects to eject from the cutting deck and cause serious injury. Make sure to use the blades specific to your ride-on mower model.

  2. Lock the blade with a wooden block.
  3. Loosen and remove the blade bolt, the washers and the blade.
  4. Assemble the new blade with the ends that have an angle in the direction of the cutting deck.
  5. Attach the blade, the washer and the bolt. Tighten the bolt with a torque specific to your ride-on mower. You can find the information in your product's operator's manual.
