How to clean and replace an air filter on a garden tractor

To keep your Husqvarna garden tractor in good condition, make sure that the air filter is clean and working properly.

If the air filter is dirty or damaged, there can be issues with starting your garden tractor or you may experience loss of power while using it.

For this you will need:

• A cleaning brush or compressed air.
• A new air filter, if your old air filter is damaged; make sure that you use the right type of air filter, depending on your garden tractor model.

Cleaning and changing an air filter on a garden tractor

1. Turn the two knobs 1/4 of a turn counter-clockwise.
2. Remove the air filter cover.
3. Carefully remove the air filter.

How to clean a foam air filter on a garden tractor

• Remove the foam air filter from the air filter cartridge.
• Clean the foam air filter with a weak detergent.
• Let the foam air filter dry.
• Install the foam air filter around the foam air filter cartridge.

How to clean a paper air filter on a garden tractor

• Hit the paper air filter against a hard surface.
• Blow with compressed air from the inner side of the paper filter.
  CAUTION: If you cannot clean the paper air filter, it must be replaced with a new one.

4. Install the air filter in the opposite sequence.
