How to check the blades and the blade guard on a hedge trimmer
The outer part of the blades actsas a blade guard. The blade guard prevents lacerations.
- Stop the product and make sure that the blades have stopped.
- For petrol-powered tools: Remove the spark plug cap from the spark plug. For battery-powered tools: Remove the battery.
- Put on your protective gloves.
- Make sure that the blades and the blade guard are not damaged or bent. Always replace damaged or bent blades, or a damaged blade guard.
- Make sure that the screws securing the blades and blade guard are tight.
