Garden tractor maintenance
For your Husqvarna garden tractor to work optimally, it needs to be maintained, depending on the type of the product.
Some maintenance can be performed easily, and some needs to be done by the authorised local dealer.
Maintenance of a petrol-powered garden tractor
- Clean the engine and the transmission.
- Make sure that the tyre pressure is correct in all tyres.
- Clean the garden tractor air filter
- Examine the muffler and the heat deflector.
- Check the engine oil level. Fill with engine oil if necessary
- Examine the transmission cooling fan.
- Check the parking brake.
- Check the operator presence control (OPC).
- Check the battery level. Charge the battery if necessary.
- Clean the engine and the transmission.
- Lubricate the product.
- Make sure that the tyre pressure is correct in all tyres.
- Replace the fuel filter on a garden tractor
- Replace the air filter on a garden tractor
- Examine the muffler and the heat deflector.
- Replace the engine oil filter and engine oil on a garden tractor
- Replace the spark plug on a garden tractor
- Examine the transmission cooling fan.
- Make sure that the product does not move when the pedals are in the neutral position.
- Check the switch for the cutting height lever.
- Check the switch for the forward and rearward pedals.
- Clean the cutting deck, below the belt covers and below the cutting deck.
- Check the parallelism of the cutting deck. Adjust the cutting deck if necessary.
- Examine the blades for wear and damage. Sharpen or replace the blades if necessary.
- Examine the grass catcher and the switches for the grass catcher, if applicable.
Maintaining a battery-powered garden tractor
- Make sure that the tyre pressure is correct in all tyres.
- Clean the cutting deck, below the covers and below the cutting deck.
- Check the PTO button.
- Check the operator presence control (OPC).
- Examine the grass catcher and the microswitches for the grass catcher (applicable for TC models only).
- Lubricate the garden tractor.
- Make sure that the tyre pressure is correct in all tyres.
- Clean the cutting deck, below the covers and below the cutting deck.
- Check that the cutting deck is parallel. Adjust the parallelism if necessary.
- Check the PTO button.
- Check the operator presence control (OPC).
- Examine the grass catcher and the microswitches for the grass catcher, if applicable.
