Why Automower® stops despite having battery capacity
If your Automower® robotic lawn mower suddenly stops in the middle of the lawn despite having battery capacity left, it is usually due to a Pause or Stop command. In EPOS™ wire free installations, the stops can also be due to the lawn mower searching for satellite signals or not having internet coverage when using EPOS™ via the Husqvarna Cloud*.
Here are some reasons why this may happen:
Cause | Effect | Message | How to restart | Comment |
---|---|---|---|---|
STOP button pressed on the lawn mower | Lawn mower stopped | Stopped — manual action required | To get your lawn mower going again, you need to do an on-site manual restart of the lawn mower. | For safety reasons, the lawn mower cannot be restarted using Automower® Connect or Smart Home service if the Stop button has been pressed. |
Pause command sent from Automower® Connect | Lawn mower paused | Paused | After a Pause command, the lawn mower can be restarted manually or using the app or a Smart Home service. | If there are several users connected to your lawn mower, someone other than you may have paused it. |
Pause command sent from IFTTT applet | Lawn mower paused | Paused | After a Pause command, the lawn mower can be restarted manually or using the app or a Smart Home service. | Log in to IFTTT to check your applets and change the settings as desired or disable unwanted applets. If there are several users connected to your lawn mower, someone other than you may have activated an IFTTT applet controlling your lawn mower. |
Pause command sent from a Smart Home service | Lawn mower paused | Paused | After a Pause command, the lawn mower can be restarted manually or using the app or a Smart Home service. | If there are several users connected to your lawn mower, someone other than you may have paused it. |
Stop button pressed or Pause command sent | Lawn mower disconnected | Stopped/Paused — Disconnected | To get your lawn mower going again, you need to do an on-site manual restart of the lawn mower. | If you do not restart the lawn mower within a certain period of time after a Stop or Pause command, the status of your lawn mower will change to Paused/Stopped — Disconnected to save battery. |
Lawn mower is searching for satellite signal (EPOS™ wire free installations) | Lawn mower stops | Searching for satellites | No action needed. The lawn mower will resume cutting as soon as it recovers the signal from the satellite. | Weather conditions like heavy rain, dense clouds or other atmospheric factors can delay signal processing, causing the lawn mower to stop frequently while searching for satellites. For optimal performance, satellite signals need an open sky view. Buildings or trees can block these signals, affecting precision. |
Lawn mower has lost internet connection (for EPOS™ via the Husqvarna Cloud*) | Lawn mower stops | No correction data available | Ensure you have good internet coverage in the entire work area. | EPOS via the Husqvarna Cloud requires a constant internet connection (cellular or Wi-Fi) for the lawn mower in the entire work area. |
* EPOS™ via the Husqvarna Cloud is available in selected markets.
By Smart Home service, we refer to Google Home, Amazon Alexa and IFTTT.
If none of the above applies and the problem occurs repeatedly, please contact your local Husqvarna dealer for further investigation.
