Husqvarna upgrades its wire free offering with new products and systematic mowing

Husqvarna, world leader in robotic lawn care, extends its wire free Automower® NERA range with two new robotic lawn mowers for the smaller garden as well as an upgraded version of the popular Automower® 435X AWD NERA. For the 2025 season, Husqvarna also upgrades all mowers in the NERA range with systematic mowing capabilities. Systematic mowing, lane by lane, increases cutting area capacity by 50% and can create a lawn with a patterned design. The company also introduces a new solution for wire-free mowing via the Husqvarna Cloud, improving installation and user convenience by removing the need for an external reference station.

Owners of Automower® NERA robotic mowers can now choose between irregular mowing for a lawn with a smooth carpet-like finish or systematic mowing for patterns like stripes or checkerboard. All mowers in the NERA range, including products already in use, will get the update to mow systematically this season when using wire free installation. The new satellite solution via the Husqvarna Cloud, means that a discreet plug-in is all it takes for accurate navigation on the lawn using virtual boundaries.

Husqvarna Automower® NERA for smaller gardens

For 2025, the boundary wire free range expands with Automower® 405XE NERA and Automower® 305E NERA, bringing advanced robotic mowing to smaller gardens. These new models feature EdgeCut technology for precise edge trimming using an additional rear cutting disc. “Since we launched our first robotic lawn mower 30 years ago, we have seen millions of happy customers and received plenty of awards. Our ambition from the start has been to offer a premium and bespoke lawn care experience for every garden. With these new innovations, we are giving each garden owner even more control over their mowing and garden design”, says Panagiota Likidou, Senior Product Manager at Husqvarna.

Husqvarna unveils Automower® 435X AWD NERA - with wire-free technology and systematic mowing capacity

Since its first launch in 2019, Husqvarna Automower 435X AWD NERA has successfully tackled some of the most complex gardens with slopes of up to 70% and areas up to 3500m2. The new product features Husqvarna’s trusted EPOS satellite-technology for boundary free mowing integrated in the mower. Not only does this eliminate the need for boundary wires or an external reference station, but makes it even easier for the user to control what zones to cut and when, via the Automower Connect app.

“The Husqvarna Automower 435X AWD NERA is one of our most appreciated products, as it caters for those gardens that are extremely demanding to mow. We are very happy to finally release a new boundary wire free version, as physical boundary wires can be extra challenging in gardens with steep slopes and uneven surfaces. We know that many garden owners have been waiting for this upgrade and the new level of freedom won´t disappoint, says Jonas Elderstiern, Product Manager at Husqvarna.

Ultrasonic technology gives the mower the ability to detect and avoid objects on the lawn, improving precision and reducing the risk of unwanted stops. During spring 2025, the mower will receive an update which will give it the ability to mow systematically, in addition to the current, irregular mowing. This not only gives the freedom of having a lawn with a striped or checkboard design but also increases the area capacity of the mower from 3500m2 to 5000m2.
