Husqvarna Automower® and Google connection

Users of Husqvarna’s robotic mowers have been able to control their mowers with Google Assistant for more than two years. Now, Husqvarna’s offering becomes even stronger with the announcement that Husqvarna Automower® works with Hey Google and is available in the Google Home app by adding it as the device type “robotic mower”.

Husqvarna announced its compatibility with Google Assistant in 2019. Since then, Husqvarna Automower® owners have been able to control their robotic mowers with Google Assistant-enabled speakers, mobile phones and smart TV screens. Now, Husqvarna´s offering with Google Assistant becomes even stronger with the announcement that Husqvarna Automower® can be added as the device type “robotic mower” in Google Home app.

This is the next step in offering the best possible user experience for our customers. We can see that Husqvarna Automower® owners often are tech savvy and appreciate that our products can be used together with Google Assistant-enabled speakers or displays.

When adding Automower® as a device in the Google Home app it will be even easier for the user to interact with their robotic mower with Google using their voice. For example, instead of saying “Hey Google, ask Automower to start” or “Hey Google, ask Automower to check the status”, the user can now set custom names for their devices and say “Hey Google, start Robby” or “Hey Google, mow the lawn”.

Being part of the Google Nest ecosystem, Husqvarna can continue to develop the user experience. One example of that is to enable users to create routines with other smart products that are part of the Google Nest ecosystem.

Husqvarna Automower® X-line models and models equipped with an Automower® Connect Kit can be connected to the Google Home app.
