It is important to keep your ride-on lawn mower clean and prepare it for storage when the season ends. This is vital in order for the product to continue working in optimal conditions during the next season.
Fuel:
In order to prevent tacky particles during storage, it is good to add fuel stabiliser. Add stabiliser to the fuel tank or the container used for storage. Always use the mixing ratio recommended by the manufacturer. After adding the fuel stabiliser, run the engine for a minimum of 10 minutes until it flows into the carburettor.
If you are using alkylate fuel, there is no need to add the fuel stabiliser.
If you are using standard fuel, do not switch to alkylate petrol since this can cause sensitive rubber parts to become hard and brittle.
You can also choose to empty the fuel tank. To do this, start the engine and run it until there is no remaining fuel in the carburettor.
NOTE: If you add fuel stabiliser, do not empty the fuel tank and carburettor.
