Automower® battery: Error messages and lifespan tips
The message Empty battery appears when the mower’s remaining battery capacity is insufficient to locate the charging station. These are the common causes and how to resolve them:
Empty battery: Common causes and solutions
1. Guide wire issues
The guide wire might be incorrectly positioned, faulty or broken, preventing the mower from finding its way home. Ensure the guide wire is undamaged and correctly positioned.
2. Search settings
Incorrect search settings can hinder the mower’s ability to locate the charging station. Review and adjust the settings in the Automower® Connect app under Menu > Settings > Installation > Find charging station.
3. Secondary Area mode
If the mower is set to Secondary Area mode instead of Main Area mode, change the setting to Main Area mode. Remember that after mowing a secondary area, the mower needs to placed manually back in the main area and the correct area mode must be selected.
4. Obstacles and stay-out zones
Ensure the path to the charging station is clear by removing any obstacles that might block the mower‘s way. This also includes stay-out zones that could hinder the mower‘s access to the charging station.
5. Charging station installation
If the charging station is not installed correctly, the mower may have difficulties docking. Ensure the charging station is on a flat surface with enough free space around it. Ensure the cables are properly connected to the charging station.
