How to examine and replace blades on a garden tractor
While working with your Husqvarna garden tractor, the blades might get damaged or broken.
For your garden tractor to work optimally, make sure that the blades are in good condition.
Damaged or incorrectly balanced blades can cause damage to the garden tractor.
If the blades are blunt, contact your authorised local dealer.
CAUTION: For safety reasons, make sure that you wear protective gloves every time you handle blades.
How to examine blades on a garden tractor
- Remove the cutting deck from a garden tractor
- Look at the blades to see if they are damaged and if it is necessary to sharpen them.
How to replace blades on a garden tractor
WARNING: Incorrect blade type or unbalanced blades can cause objects to be ejected from the cutting deck and cause serious injury. Make sure that you use the blades specific to your garden tractor model.
CAUTION: Damaged or incorrectly balanced blades can cause damage to the products. Replace damaged blades. Ask an approved service agent to help you sharpen and balance blunt blades.
- Lock the blades with a wooden block.
- Remove the bolt, the washer and the blade.
- For the TC models, install a new left blade on the left side and a new right blade on the right side. For TS models, the blades are the same.
WARNING: An incorrect blade type can cause objects to be ejected from the cutting deck and cause serious injury. - Make sure that the bent ends on the blades point in the direction of the cutting deck.
- Tighten the bolts to a torque of 58.5–69.5 nm.
