How to change or recover the Automower® PIN code
Learn how to change, recover and troubleshoot PIN code issues on your Husqvarna Automower® robotic lawn mower.
If you know the current PIN code, you can change the code on the lawn mower or in the Automower® Connect app, depending on your lawn mower model.
Changing PIN code on the mower:
- Navigate to Menu on the mower’s keypad.
- Select Security (lock symbol).
- Navigate to Advanced.
- Select Change PIN code and enter your new PIN code.
- Your new PIN code is now set.
Changing PIN code in the Automower® Connect app:
- Open the Automower® Connect app to connect to your mower using Bluetooth.
- Go to Settings.
- Navigate to Security, and enter the current PIN code.
- Select Change PIN code and enter your current PIN code.
- Enter the new PIN code.
- Your new PIN code is now set.
If you’ve forgotten or lost the PIN code for your Automower® robotic lawn mower, you can recover it using the Automower® Connect app or by contacting a dealer. The recovery process depends on the status of your mower, the Automower® model and your smartphone’s operating system.
For iOS users: Recover PIN Code via the Automower® Connect app
To recover the mower’s PIN code via the Automower® Connect app, these are the requirements:
- A mower running a firmware version from 10 December 2021 or later.
- Latest version of the Automower® Connect app.
- An active Bluetooth or mobile connection to the mower.
If these requirements are fulfilled, follow these steps:
- Open the Automower® Connect app to connect to your mower using Bluetooth.
- When prompted to enter the PIN code, tap Forgot PIN code.
- The PIN code will then be sent in an email to all users who have added the mower to their Automower® Connect account for long-range connectivity (using mobile or Wi-Fi communication).
Note: If a Bluetooth connection with the mower is not possible, please contact your local Husqvarna dealer to recover the PIN code.
For Android users: Contact a Husqvarna dealer
Currently, the PIN recovery steps in the Automower® Connect app only work for iOS users. If you have the app installed on an Android device, please contact your local Husqvarna dealer to recover the PIN code for your robotic lawn mower. Remember to bring your ID card, the serial number and proof of purchase or ownership for the mower, such as the original purchase receipt, when visiting your dealer.
If you enter the wrong PIN code for your Automower® robotic lawn mower five times consecutively, the product will lock for a certain period of time. This lock duration extends with each new incorrect attempt. Wait until the lock duration has passed, then enter the correct PIN code. Depending on your alarm settings, an alarm may sound if you enter the wrong PIN code. The alarm will stop once the correct PIN code is entered.
