How to work with a leaf blower

A Husqvarna blower is a great help to quickly clear a garden of leaves. Ensure you never blow air towards fixed objects such as walls, large rocks, vehicles, and fences. When working inside corners, blow from the corner and inward towards the centre of the work area. Otherwise, debris can fly up in your face. Never point the blower nozzle at delicate plants.

A quick guide to using the blower
  1. Plan your job and decide on a good spot to gather the leaves.
  2. Start off by clearing around hedges and buildings first. This makes it easier to gather leaves in one spot later.
  3. Work from the outside and inwards towards your chosen gathering spot in a sideways motion, creating a zigzag pattern as you approach the centre.
  4. If you are gathering leaves in front of you on a narrow patch, move the blowpipe in a U-shape in front of you. This way you blow the leaves to the middle of the ‘U’.
