Troubleshooting reference station issues during EPOS™ setup of Automower®
During the EPOS™ setup of your Automower® robotic lawn mower, you may encounter error messages related to the reference station. These are the most common errors and how to resolve them.
Failed to pair with reference station
- Ensure the reference station’s light is solid green, indicating successful installation. Note that it can take up to 15 minutes for the light on the station to be solid green.
- If the light continues to flash red, unplug and plug back in the reference station.
- If the reference station's light is solid green, but the robotic lawn mower still does not pair with the station, please restart both the robotic lawn mower and the reference station.
- If the problem persists, please contact your local Husqvarna dealer.
No reference station found
Ensure the reference station’s light is solid green, indicating successful installation. If the light is flashing red, try the following steps:
- Unplug and plug back in the reference station.
- Check the position of the reference station to ensure it has an open view of the sky. Move the station if necessary.
Reference station installation checklist
- Full sky view: Ensure the reference station has a clear view of the sky (minimum 135 degrees).
- Minimum height: Install the reference station at a height of at least 2 m/6.5 ft.
- Distance to the robotic lawn mower: The distance between the reference station and the robotic lawn mower should be less than 100 m/330 ft. Be aware that objects in between can reduce this distance.
- Wall installation: You can mount the reference station on a post or a wall. If installing on a wall, ensure the top of the reference station is above the wall.
- Interference: Check for metal objects that may be interfering with the reference station's signal.
