- Put the cutting deck in service position
- Look at the blades to see if they are damaged and if it is necessary to sharpen them.
- Tighten the blade bolts with the tightening torque specific to your ride-on lawn mower. You can find more information in the operator's manual.

Replacing blades on a ride-on lawn mower
WARNING: Incorrect blade type or unbalanced blades can cause objects to be ejected from the cutting deck and cause serious injury. Make sure to use the blades specific to your ride-on lawn mower model.
CAUTION: Damaged or incorrectly balanced blades can cause damage to the products. Replace damaged blades. Ask an approved service agent to help you sharpen and balance blunt blades.
- Put the cutting deck in service position
- Lock the blade with a wooden block.
- Loosen and remove the blade bolt, the washers and the blade.
- Assemble the new blade with the ends are angled in the direction of the cutting deck.
- Attach the blade, the washer and the bolt. Tighten the bolt with a torque specific to your ride-on lawn mower. More information can be found in the operator's manual for your product.
- Put the cutting deck in service position
- Lock the blade with a wooden block.
- Loosen and remove the blade bolt, the washers, the blade and the blade support.
- Install the new blade with the bent ends pointing in the direction of the cutting deck.
