Connecting an Automower® robotic lawn mower to Wi-Fi
By connecting your Automower® robotic lawn mower to a Wi-Fi network, you enable remote communication with the Husqvarna Cloud via the Automower® Connect app whenever your mower is within Wi-Fi range.
Benefits of connecting Automower® to Wi-Fi
While not necessary for operation, connecting your robotic lawn mower to Wi-Fi offers several benefits:
- Remotely monitor and control the mower
- Integrate smart home services via the Automower® Connect app, such as Automower® Smart Routines, Google Home, Amazon Alexa and open API
- Download firmware updates
Automower® models with Wi-Fi capability
The following Automower® models use only Wi-Fi to communicate with the Husqvarna Cloud:- Aspire™ R4
- 320 NERA
- 305E NERA
- 310E NERA
Note: Automower® 320 NERA, 305E NERA and 310E NERA can be upgraded with an Automower® Connect Kit to add a mobile connection. This kit is available as an accessory.
The following models can use both mobile and Wi-Fi networks:
- 430X NERA
- 450X NERA
- 405XE NERA
- 410XE NERA
Note: Other models do not have the necessary hardware for Wi-Fi connectivity. Automower® 435X AWD NERA only supports cellular connectivity.
How to connect Automower® to a Wi-Fi network
- Pair with Bluetooth: First,pair your mower with your mobile device using Bluetooth.
- Connect to Wi-Fi:
- Open the Automower® Connect app.
- Log in with your account credentials.
- Position the mower close to the network router for a strong signal.
- Go to More > Settings > Automower® Connect.
- Enter your PIN code.
- Under Wi-Fi, tap Select network.
- Select the desired network from the list.
- Enter the network password and tap Connect.
- Wait for the connection to be established.
Troubleshooting the Wi-Fi connection
If your Wi-Fi network doesn’t appear in the list of available networks, try these steps:
- Make sure the Automower® Connect app is connected to the mower via Bluetooth.
- Move the mower closer to the router.
- In the Automower® Connect app, go to More > Settings > Automower® Connect > Select network > Rescan to search for networks.
- If the network still doesn’t appear, select Add new to manually enter the network name and password (case sensitive).
- Restart the router.
How many Wi-Fi networks can my robotic lawn mower connect to?
You can save up to ten Wi-Fi networks to your account, but the mower can only be connected to one network at a time.
Switching networks
If you have added more than one Wi-Fi network, the mower will automatically switch to the strongest available network. To manually switch, tap the desired network in the list and enter the password if needed.
Removing a network
To forget a Wi-Fi network, tap the ‘delete’ icon next to the network name and confirm. To reconnect, re-enter the network password.
